Choose a Program:

Choosing a program is one of the most important decision of your study permit application, presenting a strong reason for studying in Canada in this specific program. If you get confused on choosing the program, Sanaim also helps you choosing program based on your previous education and work history.

Apply to the School:

Sanaim helps foreign students to prepare and submit their application, you need to have a Letter of Acceptance from a Canadian Designated Learning Institution (DLI) prior to applying for a study permit.

Apply for a Study Permit:

Once you get the letter of acceptance, sanaim will help you prepare and submit your application to Canadian immigration.

Non DLI Schools

Schools which are not designated by the provincial or territorial authority as a DLI are not qualified to admit foreign students. Study permit application which are submitted for a Non- DLI schools are declined. In case of a school you choose to study at, loses its status as a DLI, you will be permitted to continue your studies up until your study permit expires. Or you may be transferred to an alternative DLI.

Primary and Secondary Schools

In Canada, all primary and secondary schools are DLIs. In most provinces, these schools offer education from Grade One to Grade Twelve. When a student graduates from secondary school they receive their high school diploma. Dependent minor children do not need to have a study permit.

If you have minor children and are coming to Canada on a work or study permit, they will be eligible to attend school. There is no need to apply for a separate study permit.

Canadian Immigration

Student Direct Stream (SDS) Canada

Canada has made it even easier for foreign students from certain African and Asian partner countries to become foreign students in Canada.

Canada’s student direct stream makes the processing of study permits faster for certain foreign students. Most student direct stream applications are processed within 20 days.

If you reside in one of the following countries in Africa or Asia, you may be eligible to apply for a Canadian study permit via Student Direct stream (SDS):

China

India

Vietnam

Philippines

Morocco

Pakistan

Senegal

If a person is a resident of another country (even if they are a citizen of one of the countries listed above) then they must apply through the regular study permit application process. The Canadian government will start processing your application once you have submitted your biometrics and shown that you meet all eligibility requirements.

In order to be eligible for SDS, the individual must be a resident of one of the countries listed above. As well, it is necessary for the applicant to have the following required documents:

Acceptance letter from a Designated Learning Institution in Canada.

Upfront medical exam confirmation document.

Guaranteed investment certificate (GIC) of $10,000 CAD.

Proof that tuition fees for the first year of study in Canada have been paid.

Proof of graduation from a Canadian curriculum high school or language test showing either score of at least 6 in each category of the IELTS. Or niveaux de competence linguistic Canadians score of at least 7 for French.
